Black Friday 2026 UK: home buys worth waiting for (and what to buy now)
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026. Here's what's confirmed about the dates, which home products and picks from our guides are worth watching, what you shouldn't wait for, and how to check whether a deal is genuine.

Black Friday can be a good time to buy big-ticket home kit, but it's rarely the only good time. Which?'s long-running price investigations show that most Black Friday "deals" were the same price or cheaper at some other point in the year. The trick is to decide what you want before the sales start, note today's price, and only buy when the price is genuinely good, not just labelled as a deal.
This hub pulls together the products from our guides that are worth watching, from air fryers and cordless vacuums to electric blankets and dehumidifiers. It also covers what we'd buy now rather than wait for.
Who this guide is for: Anyone planning to buy home, kitchen, bedroom, DIY or heating kit in November, or buying Christmas presents early. It's especially useful if you've been eyeing something from one of our guides and want to know whether to buy now or wait for Black Friday.
Black Friday 2026 dates: what's confirmed
- Black Friday: Friday 27 November 2026.
- Cyber Monday: Monday 30 November 2026.
- Amazon UK's Black Friday Week: not yet announced (as of 20 October 2026). Amazon hasn't yet published its customer dates.
For context, Amazon UK's Black Friday Week ran from 21 November to 2 December in 2024 and from 20 November to 1 December in 2025, opening about a week before Black Friday and closing on Cyber Monday. Amazon announced those dates on 8 November 2024 and 13 November 2025. We'll update this page when the 2026 dates are confirmed. Many other UK retailers start "early Black Friday" offers in November too.
How to spot a genuine Black Friday deal

Which? has tracked Black Friday prices for years. In its investigation of 175 deals from Black Friday 2024, every product was the same price or cheaper at some point in the six months either side, and 35% were cheaper after the sales period. Which? says its 2025 investigation found the same: 100% of the deals it analysed were cheaper or the same price at other times of the year. Its advice is simple: don't feel rushed.
- Check the price history. For Amazon, CamelCamelCamel (free) and Keepa show charts of past Amazon.co.uk prices and can email you when the price drops. For other retailers, Which? suggests price comparison sites such as PriceSpy and PriceRunner.
- Ignore the RRP. Which? found that all the Amazon deals in its 2024 investigation used a recommended retail price to show the saving, and an RRP doesn't have to be a price the retailer ever charged.
- Be wary of 'was' prices. In Which?'s 2024 analysis, for six in 10 deals the 'was' price had been in place less than half the time in the year before the promotion.
- Match the model number. Bundles and colour variants make price comparisons tricky. Compare exact model codes such as AF400UK or IZ400UKT.
- Check who's selling it. 'Sold by Amazon' or a brand's official store is simpler for returns than an unknown third-party seller.
- Ignore countdown clocks. The CMA says misleading countdown timers are banned under the new consumer regime, and it can now fine businesses up to 10% of global turnover. In November 2025 it opened investigations into online pricing practices.
Good deals do exist. If an item you were going to buy anyway is at or near its lowest price in the price history, that's a good time to buy, whether or not it's Black Friday.
Which home products are worth watching?
These are the product types from our guides that big brands commonly promote in winter sales. Amazon's 2025 Black Friday announcement highlighted brands including Ninja, Philips, De'Longhi, Dyson and Tefal. That doesn't guarantee any particular product will be discounted this year.
- Air fryers: Ninja, Cosori, Tower and Instant. See our air fryers guide.
- Cordless and robot vacuums: Shark, Dyson and Vax sticks. See our cordless vacuums guide. We haven't reviewed robot vacuums yet.
- Electric blankets and heated throws: see our electric blankets and heated throws guides.
- Dehumidifiers: see our dehumidifiers and desiccant dehumidifiers guides.
- Mattress toppers and weighted blankets: see our mattress toppers and weighted blankets guides.
- Coffee machines: a frequent sale category. See our bean to cup coffee machines guide, and the AeroPress in our gifts for him guide.
- Electric screwdrivers and drills: see our electric screwdrivers and cordless drills guides.
- Radiators and heaters: see our oil-filled radiators, electric radiators and ceramic heaters guides.
- Dog beds: see our dog beds for large dogs guide.
- Christmas gifts: see our Secret Santa gifts under £20, gifts for a dad who wants nothing, gifts for cooks and stocking fillers guides.
Other guides worth checking before the sales include slow cookers, pan sets, office chairs, standing desks and pressure washers.
Buy now or wait for Black Friday?
| Product | Buy now if… | Worth waiting if… |
|---|---|---|
| Electric blanket or heated throw | You're cold at night now | It's a Christmas present |
| Dehumidifier | You have mould, wet windows or damp walls | It's for a spare room or garage that can wait |
| Heater or radiator | A room is cold now | It's a back-up for later in winter |
| Air fryer | Your oven or old fryer has failed | It's an upgrade or a gift |
| Cordless vacuum | Your vacuum has broken | Your current one still works |
| Mattress topper | Your bed is causing aches | It's a comfort upgrade |
| Weighted blanket | Rarely urgent | Usually: it's a nice-to-have |
| Drill or screwdriver | You have a job to do now | It's a present |
| Coffee machine | Rarely urgent | Usually, especially for expensive machines |
| Draught excluder | Almost always: it's cheap and stops heat loss now | Rarely worth waiting for |
| Dog bed | Your dog is stiff or the old bed has gone flat | It's a Christmas present or an upgrade |
The rule of thumb: if waiting means weeks of being cold, damp or without something essential, buy now. Which?'s research suggests you won't miss out on the best price of the year by buying on a different day. If it's a nice-to-have or a gift, note today's price and watch it.
Your Black Friday checklist
- Make a shortlist from our guides and note each product's exact model code.
- Write down today's price, or set a CamelCamelCamel or Keepa alert.
- Set a budget before the sales start.
- When a deal appears, check the price history, the seller and the delivery date.
- Check the returns window, especially for gifts and bedding. Citizens Advice says that for most online purchases you have 14 days from delivery to tell the seller you've changed your mind, but items with a broken hygiene seal are an exception. Retailers' own Christmas returns policies may be longer.
- Register guarantees as soon as the item arrives.
How we chose: We picked 1–2 standout products from each of our existing UK buying guides in the categories that big brands most often promote in winter sales, and re-checked on 20 October 2026 that each was listed on Amazon.co.uk with an add-to-cart button. We don't predict which products will be discounted or by how much. Dates and deal statistics come from Amazon's own announcements, Which? investigations and the Competition and Markets Authority (sources below). We never show prices, because they change constantly. We have not personally tested these products; this is a research-based roundup. Our research process.

It's our priciest dog bed pick, so it's a sensible one to watch. If your dog is struggling now, don't wait. See our dog beds guide.

FAQs
When is Black Friday 2026 in the UK?
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026.
When does Amazon's Black Friday sale start in 2026?
Amazon UK hadn't announced its 2026 dates as of 20 October 2026. In 2024 its Black Friday Week ran from 21 November to 2 December, and in 2025 from 20 November to 1 December. We'll update this page when the dates are confirmed.
Are Black Friday deals genuine?
Some are, but Which?'s investigations found that the vast majority of Black Friday deals were the same price or cheaper at other times of the year. Check the price history before you buy.
How do I check the price history of an Amazon product?
Paste the Amazon.co.uk link into CamelCamelCamel (uk.camelcamelcamel.com) or use Keepa's website or browser extension. Both show past prices and can alert you to drops.
Should I buy an electric blanket or heater now or wait?
If you're cold now, buy now. A few weeks of warmth is worth more than a possible saving. If it's a gift, it's reasonable to watch the price until Black Friday.
Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday?
Not usually for home products. Amazon's recent Black Friday Weeks have run through to Cyber Monday, so many offers overlap. Which? also found many products were cheaper after the sales period.
Do you get commission?
Yes. If you buy through our links, Amazon may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn't affect which products we include. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
