Privacy policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026.

In short: we don’t run accounts, comments, ads or tracking cookies, and we don’t ask for your personal details. The only data processed when you visit is basic technical data handled by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Retailers may set cookies if you click an affiliate link.

Who we are

The Handy Finds UK (“we”, “us”) is an independent website publisher based in the United Kingdom, and is the data controller for this website, thehandyfinds.co.uk. Contact us about privacy at [email protected].

What we collect, and why

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link (for example to Amazon.co.uk or another UK retailer), you leave our site. The retailer or affiliate network may set cookies or use similar technology to record that you came from us, so it can pay us a commission if you buy. That processing is controlled by the retailer or network under its own privacy policy (for Amazon, see Amazon’s Privacy Notice). We receive anonymous reports of clicks, orders and commission, never your name, address or payment details. See our cookie policy.

Who we share data with

Only our service providers: Cloudflare (website hosting, security and analytics) and our email provider (to receive and answer messages). We never sell or rent personal data. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge.

Email newsletter (when it launches)

If we launch the newsletter and you sign up, we will hold your email address with our email provider to send the newsletter you asked for. We will use double opt-in, include an unsubscribe link in every email and never sell your details. Lawful basis: your consent. We will update this policy before the sign-up goes live.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

This site is aimed at adults and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We will update this page if anything changes, for example if we add new analytics or launch the newsletter, and change the “last updated” date above.
