How we chose: I shortlisted the 2025 and 2026 OLED TVs that UK buyers most often compare, from LG, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and Philips, in sizes from 42 to 77 inches. For each one I checked the manufacturer's UK product or specification page for the processor, panel type, refresh rate, HDR formats, sound and HDMI ports. On 24 October 2026 I reopened every Amazon.co.uk listing with a UK delivery postcode to check it was the right model and size, in stock, with an add-to-basket button, and noted who sells it. I don't show prices, because they change daily. I haven't tested these TVs myself. These products have not been tested hands-on; this is a research-based roundup. How the research works.
OLED TVs light every pixel on its own, so black is properly black and contrast is excellent in a dim room. They also have very wide viewing angles, which helps if your sofa is off to one side. The trade-off is brightness: a Mini LED TV gets brighter and copes better with a sunny room, and costs less for the same size.
In 2026 there are three main choices. LG sells the most OLED models and sizes, with Dolby Vision on every set. Samsung adds an anti-glare screen to its higher-end OLEDs but doesn't support Dolby Vision. Sony focuses on films, with Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced and sound that comes from the screen.
Want a cheaper TV? Our best TVs under £500 guide covers LED and Mini LED sets, and our Black Friday TV deals page lists the OLEDs worth watching in the sales.
Who this guide is for: Anyone choosing a TV mainly for evening films, drama and sport, or for gaming on a PS5, Xbox Series X or PC. If you watch mostly in daylight in a bright room, look at the Samsung anti-glare models below or a Mini LED TV instead.
Black Friday tip: OLED TVs see some of the biggest cash reductions of the year in November, but the same sets are often just as cheap in spring when the next year's models arrive. Note today's price, match the full model code and size, and check the price history before you buy. Our Black Friday TV deals page explains how.

LG's C-series is the OLED most people shortlist, and the 2026 C6 covers almost every need. LG's UK spec page lists the α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3, a 120Hz panel with VRR up to 165Hz, G-Sync and FreeSync compatibility, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, 40W 2.2-channel sound with Dolby Atmos, Filmmaker Mode and webOS. LG covers the panel under OLED Care+ for five years.
On Amazon.co.uk it's sold by Amazon in 42, 48, 55, 65 and 77-inch sizes (LG also makes an 83-inch). Amazon also lists bundles with LG soundbars, so make sure you're comparing the TV on its own.
What owners and reviewers like

- Up to 165Hz for PC and console gaming
- Five-year panel cover from LG
Watch-outs
- Not as bright as Mini LED in a sunny room
- Bundles make price comparisons harder

LG OLED AI B6 65-inch 4K smart TV (OLED65B65LA, 2026)
Best for: A big OLED picture for less than the C6
- Sizes on Amazon
- 55, 65, 77in
- Panel & processor
- OLED, α8 AI Processor 4K Gen3
- Refresh rate
- 120Hz, VRR up to 120Hz
- HDR & sound
- Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG; Dolby Atmos
- Sold by
- Amazon
The B6 is LG's entry OLED for 2026. It uses the simpler α8 AI Processor 4K Gen3 and tops out at 120Hz rather than 165Hz, but keeps OLED's perfect blacks, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, Filmmaker Mode and webOS. It's sold by Amazon.
Spending the difference on a bigger B6 rather than a smaller C6 is often the better choice for a living room, especially if you mainly watch in the evening. It's still fine for gaming at 4K 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X.
What owners and reviewers like
- OLED picture for less
- Dolby Vision and Atmos
- 4K 120Hz for consoles
Watch-outs
- Dimmer than the C6
- Fewer gaming extras

LG OLED evo AI C6 42-inch 4K smart TV (OLED42C65LA, 2026)
Best for: Bedrooms, small rooms and desk gaming
- Sizes on Amazon
- 42in (48in also available)
- Panel & processor
- OLED evo, α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3
- Refresh rate
- 120Hz, VRR up to 165Hz
- HDR & sound
- Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG; Dolby Atmos
- Sold by

Few TVs this good come as small as 42 inches. The 42-inch C6 has the same α11 processor, 165Hz VRR, G-Sync and FreeSync support and Dolby Vision as the bigger sizes, which makes it popular as a gaming monitor on a deep desk or as a bedroom TV. It's sold by Amazon.
At this size you sit closer, so the 4K resolution is easy to appreciate. Smaller OLED panels tend to be less bright than larger ones, so this works best in a room you can dim.
What owners and reviewers like
- Full C6 features in a small size
- 165Hz VRR for PC gaming
- Fits a desk or bedroom
Watch-outs
- Small panels tend to be less bright
- Sound is thin for a big room

Samsung S90H 55-inch OLED 4K Vision AI smart TV (QE55S90HAEXXU, 2026)

- HDR & sound
- HDR10+, HDR10, HLG (no Dolby Vision); 40W 2.1ch Dolby Atmos
- Sold by
- Third-party sellers (55in: PRC Direct, dispatched by Amazon)
Samsung's S90H pairs an OLED panel with its Glare Free anti-reflection screen, which helps in a bright living room. Samsung's UK page lists the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, HDR10+, 40W 2.1-channel sound with Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Lite, and four HDMI 2.1 ports.
Like all Samsung TVs it doesn't support Dolby Vision, which matters if you watch a lot of Netflix or Disney+ in Dolby Vision. On Amazon.co.uk every size is sold by a third-party retailer rather than Amazon: the 55-inch by PRC Direct, dispatched by Amazon. Check the seller's returns and warranty terms.
What owners and reviewers like
- Anti-glare screen
- 165Hz for gaming
- Four HDMI 2.1 ports
Watch-outs

Samsung S95H 55-inch OLED 4K smart TV (QE55S95HFTXXU, 2026)
Best for: The brightest-looking OLED for a sunny room
- Sizes on Amazon
- 48, 55, 65in
- Panel & processor
- OLED Glare Free, NQ4 AI Gen3
- Refresh rate
- 100Hz, VRR up to 165Hz
- HDR & sound
- HDR10+ Adaptive and Gaming (no Dolby Vision); Dolby Atmos, OTS+
- Sold by
- Third-party sellers (55in: Crampton & Moore, dispatched by Amazon)
The S95H is Samsung's flagship OLED. Samsung's UK page lists its OLED Glare Free screen, NQ4 AI Gen3 processor, a 100Hz panel with VRR up to 165Hz, HDR10+ Adaptive and HDR10+ Gaming, four HDMI inputs at 4K 165Hz with eARC, Wi-Fi 6E and Filmmaker Mode. The Amazon listing adds Dolby Atmos with Object Tracking Sound+ and a solar-powered remote.
It costs noticeably more than the S90H, so it makes most sense if you want the best anti-glare OLED for a bright room. As with the S90H there's no Dolby Vision, and on Amazon.co.uk it's sold by third-party retailers (the 55-inch by Crampton & Moore, dispatched by Amazon).
What owners and reviewers like
- Samsung's best anti-glare screen
- 165Hz on all four HDMI ports
- Wi-Fi 6E
Watch-outs
- No Dolby Vision

Sony BRAVIA 8 II 55-inch QD-OLED 4K Google TV (K-55XR8M2, 2025)
Best for: Film fans and PlayStation 5 owners
- Sizes on Amazon
- 55, 65in
- Panel & processor
- QD-OLED
- Refresh rate
- 120Hz
- HDR & sound
- Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, IMAX Enhanced; Acoustic Surface Audio+, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X
- Sold by
- Sony Store Online Marketplace
Sony's Bravia 8 II uses a QD-OLED panel, which Sony says gives its widest-ever colour palette, and Acoustic Surface Audio+, where the screen itself acts as the speaker. Sony's UK spec page lists a 120Hz panel; the TV has Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, Google TV and two 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K 120Hz, VRR and ALLM.
On Amazon.co.uk it's sold by Sony's own Sony Store Online Marketplace, with a five-year warranty mentioned in the listing. Amazon lists the 55-inch as K55XR8M25BP, a retail variant of Sony's K-55XR8M2, so check the size and code when comparing shops.
What owners and reviewers like
- QD-OLED colour
- Sound from the screen
- Sold by Sony on Amazon
Watch-outs
- Only two full-speed HDMI 2.1 ports
- Only 55 and 65 inches on Amazon

LG OLED AI B6 77-inch 4K smart TV (OLED77B65LA, 2026)
Best for: A cinema-sized OLED for the least money
- Sizes on Amazon
- 77in
- Panel & processor
- OLED, α8 AI Processor 4K Gen3
- Refresh rate
- 120Hz, VRR up to 120Hz
- HDR & sound
- Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG; Dolby Atmos

77 inches is where OLED starts to feel like a home cinema, and the B6 is usually the cheapest way to get there from a major brand. It has the same features as the 65-inch B6 above: α8 processor, 120Hz, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Filmmaker Mode. It's sold by Amazon, which showed limited stock when I checked.
Measure first. A 77-inch TV is about 1.7 metres wide, and it suits a viewing distance of roughly 2.4 to 3 metres. Check delivery and whether the seller will take the box away.
What owners and reviewers like
- Huge screen for the money
- Dolby Vision and Atmos
- Sold by Amazon
Watch-outs
- Needs a big room and wall or unit
- Limited stock when checked

Samsung S83H 55-inch 4K OLED smart TV (QE55S83HAEXXU, 2026)
Best for: Samsung's Tizen and SmartThings on a budget OLED
- Sizes on Amazon
- 55in
- Panel & processor
- OLED, anti-reflection, NQ4 AI Gen2
- Refresh rate
- 100Hz, VRR up to 120Hz
- HDR & sound
- HDR10+, HDR10, HLG (no Dolby Vision); 20W 2ch Dolby Atmos
- Sold by
- Amazon
The S83H is Samsung's entry OLED for 2026 and, unlike the S90H and S95H, the 55-inch is sold by Amazon. Samsung's UK page lists an anti-reflection screen, the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor, Motion Xcelerator 120Hz, HDR10+, 20W two-channel sound with Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Lite, and four HDMI ports. It's energy class F, rated at 104kWh per 1,000 hours of SDR viewing on the energy label, or about £27 per 1,000 hours at today's price cap.
The sound is less powerful than the 40W S90H, and it lacks the Glare Free screen, so it's best in a room you can dim. Like other Samsungs there's no Dolby Vision.
What owners and reviewers like
- Sold by Amazon
- Anti-reflection screen
- Four HDMI ports
Watch-outs
- No Dolby Vision
- Weaker 20W sound

- LG makes the widest range: the B6 for value, and the C6 for most people. Every LG OLED supports Dolby Vision and runs webOS.
- Samsung supports HDR10+ but not Dolby Vision, and runs Tizen. The S90H and S95H have a Glare Free screen for bright rooms; the S83H is the cheaper option.
- Sony runs Google TV, supports Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced, and is known for its film-like picture processing. It has fewer full-speed HDMI 2.1 ports.
If you stream a lot on Netflix, Disney+ or Apple TV+, Dolby Vision is worth having, which points to LG or Sony. If your room is bright and you use other Samsung devices, the S90H is the one to look at.
A simple rule is to sit about 1.2 to 1.5 times the screen's diagonal away for 4K. That works out to roughly:
- 42-48 inch: 1.3 to 1.8 metres, a bedroom, small room or desk.
- 55 inch: 1.7 to 2.1 metres, most UK living rooms.
- 65 inch: 2 to 2.5 metres, larger living rooms.
- 77 inch: 2.4 to 3 metres, big rooms and home cinemas.
Measure the wall or TV unit too. A 65-inch TV is about 1.45 metres wide.
Burn-in happens when a static image, such as a news ticker or game HUD, is shown for many hours a day for months. Modern OLEDs shift pixels and refresh the panel automatically to reduce the risk, and for mixed viewing it's rarely a problem. LG covers its 2026 C6 panel for five years under OLED Care+. If your TV will show the same channel logo all day, every day, a Mini LED TV may be a safer choice.
For a PS5 or Xbox Series X, look for HDMI 2.1 with 4K 120Hz, VRR and ALLM. Every TV here supports 4K 120Hz. For PC gaming, the LG C6 and Samsung S90H and S95H go up to 165Hz. Count the full-speed HDMI 2.1 ports if you'll connect a soundbar and more than one console: Samsung lists four on the S90H and S95H and Sony two on the Bravia 8 II, so check the spec page for the exact model and size.
Panasonic and Philips both make well-regarded OLED TVs, and Philips adds Ambilight lighting around the screen. When I checked on 24 October 2026, the Panasonic and Philips OLEDs on Amazon.co.uk were only offered by a third-party importer, some with European model codes, so they're not in the list above. Both are sold through UK electrical retailers, and Panasonic sells direct.
