How we chose: I shortlisted wallets and card holders sold to UK buyers from brands with clear specs (Nomad, Ekster, Secrid, Bellroy, Tommy Hilfiger, Fossil, Lakeland Leather and others), then checked each exact model on 22 October 2026: the Amazon.co.uk listing with a UK delivery postcode for price, seller and an add-to-basket button, and the maker's own UK site for its specs and price. I only added an 'Also at' link where the other shop's page showed the same model (matched by SKU, barcode or model number) in stock. Specs are the makers' own; owner feedback comes from Amazon's review summaries. These products have not been tested hands-on; this is a research-based roundup. How the research works.
#ad This guide contains affiliate links. A wallet is one of the few presents most people use every day, which is why it's a classic for dads, partners, grandads and anyone who has carried the same battered one for years. The tricky part is the style: some people want a slim card holder, some want room for notes and coins, and a growing number want a wallet they can find with their phone.
So the picks are in three groups. First, wallets that work with Apple's Find My, either with a slot for an AirTag or with tracking built in, plus a tracker card that turns any wallet into a findable one. Then slim card holders with RFID blocking, and finally classic leather wallets and purses for him and for her. There's something under £25, between £25 and £60, and a few premium options, and I've noted where the maker's own site was cheaper than Amazon.
For more ideas see our Christmas gifts for him under £50, gifts for a dad who wants nothing, gifts for mum and the Christmas gift guide.
Who this guide is for: Anyone buying a wallet, purse or card holder as a present, especially for someone who keeps losing theirs (see the tracker wallets) or who wants a thinner pocket (see the slim card holders). If you're buying for an Android phone user, choose the UGREEN tracker card or a wallet without tracking: AirTags and the Nomad wallet need an iPhone.
Black Friday tip: Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026, so it’s a chance to buy presents early. AirTag and Find My tracker wallets
These work with Apple's Find My app, so the owner can see where their wallet was last seen and make it play a sound. An AirTag wallet only has a slot: the AirTag is sold separately.
Nomad Leather Mag Wallet with Find My, Black Horween leather
Best for: iPhone users who want tracking without buying an AirTag
- Type
- MagSafe card wallet
- Price checked
- £66.42 Amazon (£74 Nomad)
- Tracking
- Built-in Apple Find My
- RFID blocking
- Not stated
- Holds
- 1–4 cards
Most 'AirTag wallets' need an AirTag, but this one has Apple Find My built in, so there's nothing else to buy. It snaps onto the back of an iPhone with MagSafe (or any MagSafe case) and holds one to four cards with an internal spring. Nomad makes it from vegetable-tanned Horween leather on a polycarbonate frame, and it measures 96 × 66 × 9mm and weighs 47g. It charges wirelessly on any Qi or MagSafe charger, and Nomad quotes about five months of battery per charge.
Two things to know. It's iPhone only, and Nomad says it doesn't have the Ultra Wideband chip in an AirTag, so there's no Precision Finding arrow; sound alerts work within about 150 feet. When I checked, the Amazon listing (black Horween, barcode matching Nomad's) was £66.42, sold by Amazon EU, against £74 on Nomad's UK site. The listing had only a handful of reviews, so there's no owner consensus yet.
What owners and reviewers like
- Find My built in, no AirTag needed
- Horween leather
- Wireless charging
Watch-outs
- iPhone only
- Holds only four cards
- Needs recharging every few months

Ekster Cardholder for AirTag, Black (aluminium, EK-ALU-AIR-BLK)
Best for: Someone who likes gadgets and wants cards at the press of a button
- Type
- Aluminium pop-up cardholder
- Price checked
- £92.18 Amazon (£79 Ekster)
- Tracking
- AirTag slot (AirTag not included)
- RFID blocking
- Yes
- Holds
- 1–12 cards and notes (Ekster)
Ekster's aluminium cardholder fans out your cards when you press a button, and this version adds a silicone pocket on the back for an Apple AirTag. Ekster says it holds 1 to 12 cards and notes, blocks RFID and is made from 6061-T6 aluminium; Amazon lists it at about 12.2 × 7.4 × 1.3cm. The AirTag isn't included, so budget for one (an AirTag (2nd generation) was £29 on Amazon when I checked).
Amazon's review summary (shared with Ekster's other aluminium cardholders) says customers like the quality and sleek design and that the RFID protection works, but durability of the card mechanism is mixed: several say the spring release stopped working after a while, and some find the card capacity low. The Amazon listing was £92.18 from Amazon US, while Ekster's UK site had the same black model (SKU EK-ALU-AIR-BLK) for £79, marked low stock.
What owners and reviewers like
- Cards pop up at a click
- Dedicated AirTag pocket
- RFID blocking
Watch-outs
- AirTag costs extra
- Mechanism durability is mixed
- Cheaper on Ekster's site

VULKIT Slim AirTag Wallet VW111, Black
Best for: A cheap trial of an AirTag wallet, or a Secret Santa top-up
- Type
- Slim card wallet
- Price checked
- £19.99 Amazon
- Tracking
- AirTag slot (AirTag not included)
- RFID blocking
- Yes
- Holds
- Up to 12 cards plus notes
A slim wallet with a built-in AirTag case for under £20. VULKIT lists it at 11.3 × 8 × 1cm, with five card slots including an ID window, an elastic card slot and a pocket for notes, holding up to 12 cards, plus a keyring loop. It's RFID blocking and comes in a gift box. Note the material: the title says leather, but the listing describes it as microfibre leather, which is a synthetic.
Amazon's review summary says customers find it good quality and slim enough not to fill a front pocket, with room for a fair number of notes, and that the elastic band stops cards falling out. It was £19.99 when I checked, sold by TH Interstellar and dispatched by Amazon. Add an AirTag and the total is still well under the Ekster.
What owners and reviewers like
- Under £20
- AirTag case and keyring loop
- Slim, holds notes
Watch-outs
- Microfibre, not real leather
- AirTag not included

UGREEN FineTrack Slim2 wallet tracker card (Apple Find My and Google Find Hub)
Best for: Someone who loves the wallet they've got, or an Android user
- Type
- Tracker card
- Price checked
- £16.99 Amazon
- Tracking
- Apple Find My or Google Find Hub
- RFID blocking
- Not a wallet
- Holds
- Slips into a card slot
If they won't give up their old wallet, give them a tracker card instead. It's the size of a bank card and UGREEN says it's 1.9mm thick, so it slides into a card slot. Unlike an AirTag it works with either Apple Find My (iOS 14.5+) or Google Find Hub (Android 9+), so it suits Android users too. UGREEN quotes 5 to 7 years of battery life, IP68 water and dust resistance and a 110dB alarm, with separation alerts on iPhone.
Amazon's review summary says customers find it reliable and easy to set up with Find My, slim enough for a wallet and good value, with good battery life, though opinions on how loud the alarm is are mixed. It was £16.99 when I checked, sold by UGREEN's UK store and dispatched by Amazon. Ekster's Tracker Card and Ridge's Tracker Card do the same job for more money.
What owners and reviewers like
- Works with iPhone or Android
- Wallet-thin card shape
- Long quoted battery life
Watch-outs
- Adds a card's thickness
- Alarm volume gets mixed reviews

Slim RFID-blocking card holders
Card holders suit people who mostly pay by card or phone. All three block RFID, which the makers say stops contactless cards being read through the wallet (see the FAQ on whether that matters).
Secrid Miniwallet Vintage, Black
Best for: A slim front-pocket wallet that still takes a few notes
- Type
- Card protector + leather wrap
- Price checked
- £59.57 Amazon (£69.95 Secrid)
- Tracking
- Secrid sells a tracker card add-on
- RFID blocking
- Yes
- Holds
- 4 embossed or 6 flat cards, plus up to 4 more and notes
Secrid's Miniwallet is the Dutch brand's best-known design: an aluminium Cardprotector that pushes your cards out in a fan when you slide the trigger, wrapped in leather with room for notes, receipts and a few more cards. Secrid says the Cardprotector takes up to four embossed or six flat cards, the wrap holds up to four more, and the whole thing is RFID protected with a two-year warranty. The Vintage leather has an abraded, waxed finish and is made in the Netherlands and Italy.
Amazon's review summary says owners are very impressed with the quality and compact size, that it holds about five cards and several notes, and that the card mechanism is easy to use, though some find it expensive. When I checked, Amazon's listing for the Vintage Black was £59.57 (sold by Amazon US, five left) and Secrid's UK site had it for £69.95. Secrid also sells a tracker card made to fit its wallets on its own site.
What owners and reviewers like
- Cards fan out with one push
- Very compact
- Made in Europe, two-year warranty
Watch-outs
- Limited card space
- Sold by Amazon US on Amazon

PELLE TORO Minifold leather card holder, Charcoal (HU-XI-154)
Best for: A small, well-presented gift for someone who only carries cards
- Type
- Leather card holder
- Price checked
- £16.99 Amazon
- Tracking
- None
- RFID blocking
- Yes
- Holds
- 9 card slots
A slim leather card holder about 1cm thick with nine card slots layered into a small footprint. Pelle Toro says it's handmade with reinforced stitching, blocks contactless signals from bank and ID cards (but not cards using random signals, such as some hotel keys), and arrives in a wooden gift box, which saves on wrapping.
Amazon's review summary says customers find the leather soft and good quality, the size compact and slim, and the price good value, and several like it as a gift. It was £16.99 when I checked, sold by Pelle Toro and dispatched by Amazon. It's designed around cards rather than cash or coins: Pelle Toro calls it a wallet 'for the coin-free clan'.
What owners and reviewers like
- Real leather, wooden gift box
- Nine card slots
- Under £20
Watch-outs
- Not for coins or lots of cash
- Only on Amazon

Classic leather wallets for him and her
For people who still carry notes, coins and receipts. Two for him, two for her, from about £25 to £85.
Bellroy Note Sleeve wallet, Black, RFID (WNSC-BLK-301)
Best for: Someone who wants a proper wallet with flat notes but less bulk
- Type
- Slim leather billfold
- Price checked
- £85 Amazon (£85 Bellroy)
- Tracking
- None
- RFID blocking
- Yes (this version)
- Holds
- 4–11 cards, flat notes, coins
Bellroy's Note Sleeve is a billfold that keeps notes flat but stays slim. It has three quick-access card slots plus a pull-tab section for cards you use less often, a full-size note section and a coin pouch, and it's 102mm tall by 92mm wide. Bellroy says it's best for 4 to 11 cards, and this black version is RFID protected. Bellroy gives it a three-year warranty.
Amazon's review summary says customers like its premium feel without being flashy and its soft leather. Views on size are mixed, and some say it lasts for years while others found it less durable than they hoped for the price; some mention loose inner pockets. The Amazon listing was £85, sold and dispatched by Bellroy, the same as on Bellroy's own site.
What owners and reviewers like
- Slim but keeps notes flat
- Coin pouch
- RFID version, three-year warranty
Watch-outs
- £85 is a lot for a wallet
- Mixed durability reports

Tommy Hilfiger Men's Eton Wallet with Coin Pocket, Black (AM0AM00651)
Best for: Dads and grandads who want a traditional leather wallet
- Type
- Leather bifold with coin pocket
- Price checked
- £52 Amazon (£52 John Lewis)
- Tracking
- None
- RFID blocking
- Not stated
- Holds
- 4 card slots, notes, coins, ID
A traditional leather bifold: note compartments, four card slots, a press-stud coin pocket and a removable ID compartment, with a small metal Tommy Hilfiger flag on the front. Tommy Hilfiger lists it at 13 × 2 × 9.5cm. It's one of the most-reviewed wallets on Amazon UK, with tens of thousands of ratings.
Amazon's review summary says customers praise the quality, look and value and find it a great Christmas present, but some say £20 and £50 notes barely fit and a few report cards slipping out of their slots. When I checked it was £52 sold by Amazon (RRP £65), and John Lewis had the same wallet (same barcode) for £52.
What owners and reviewers like
- Classic look, coin pocket
- Hugely reviewed
- Sold by Amazon and John Lewis
Watch-outs
- Large notes are a tight fit
- No RFID blocking stated

Fossil Women's Logan RFID Flap Clutch, Brown (SL7833200)
Best for: Someone who carries everything in her purse and wants it organised
- Type
- Flap clutch purse
- Price checked
- £60.58 Amazon (£99 Fossil)
- Tracking
- None
- RFID blocking
- Yes
- Holds
- 12 card slots, notes, coins, ID
A full-size purse with a fold-over flap and snap. Fossil lists 12 card slots, an ID window, an interior zip pocket and a gusseted zip coin pocket, plus a rear zip pocket and two note compartments, with RFID protection. It's leather with polyurethane trim and measures 19.4 × 2.5 × 10.2cm, so it's a handbag purse rather than a pocket one.
Amazon's review summary says customers find it high quality, practical and durable, with lots of compartments. Views on the material are mixed (some question the leather, and the trim is polyurethane) and some think it's overpriced. When I checked it was £60.58 sold by Amazon, well below the £99 on Fossil's UK site, which offers free embossing.
What owners and reviewers like
- Very well organised
- RFID blocking
- Well below Fossil's price on Amazon
Watch-outs
- Too big for a pocket
- Polyurethane trim, not all leather

Lakeland Leather Small Leather Tab Purse, Black (712.18.002)
Best for: Mums, grans and anyone who wants a small purse with lots of card slots
- Type
- Small leather purse
- Price checked
- £24.99 Amazon (£29 Lakeland)
- Tracking
- None
- RFID blocking
- Yes
- Holds
- 13 card slots, ID window, notes, coins
Lakeland Leather is a Cumbrian company that says it has been making leather goods since 1955. Its small tab purse is 9.5cm wide, 11.5cm tall and 2.5cm deep, with 13 card slots, an ID window, a lined note pocket and a zipped coin section behind a press-stud tab. It's soft textured leather with RFID lining, and Lakeland offers a lifetime leather guarantee on its own site.
Amazon's review summary says customers find it well made, with plenty of card compartments and soft leather, and small enough for an everyday handbag. It has fewer reviews than the other picks. It was £24.99 on Amazon when I checked (sold by Lakeland Leather, dispatched by Amazon) and £29 on Lakeland's site, which has more colours.
What owners and reviewers like
- Real leather under £25
- 13 card slots and a coin zip

How to choose a wallet as a gift

Look at what they carry now. If their current wallet is full of cards, receipts and coins, a slim card holder will frustrate them. If they only carry two cards and pay by phone, a big bifold will sit unused. A purse with a coin zip suits people who still use cash.
Tracking: AirTag slot, built in, or a tracker card. An AirTag wallet just has a pocket for an AirTag, so you'll need to buy one too (about £29). A wallet with Find My built in, like the Nomad, needs no AirTag but has to be recharged. A tracker card like the UGREEN goes in any wallet and also works with Android. All of these show where the wallet was last seen; none can stop it being taken.
RFID blocking is common and cheap to add, so it's a nice extra rather than a reason to pay more (see the FAQ below).
Leather type matters. 'Leather' on a listing can mean full-grain, top-grain, leather with polyurethane trim, or microfibre (a synthetic). The picks above say which. Real leather usually wears in; synthetic is cheaper and lighter.
Check the size. UK notes are up to 15cm long (the £50), so small wallets and purses need notes folded. If they keep their wallet in a front pocket, look for something under about 11cm long.
Buy from the maker if it's cheaper. When I checked, Ekster and Secrid were cheaper on their own sites than on Amazon, while Nomad, Fossil and Lakeland Leather were cheaper on Amazon. Amazon US and Amazon EU listings can take longer to arrive, so check the delivery date before Christmas.
Our picks by budget
Under £25: UGREEN FineTrack Slim2 tracker card (£16.99), Pelle Toro Minifold (£16.99), VULKIT AirTag wallet (£19.99) and the Lakeland Leather tab purse (£24.99).
£25 to £60: Tommy Hilfiger Eton wallet (£52) and the Secrid Miniwallet Vintage (£59.57 on Amazon).
Premium: Fossil Logan flap clutch (£60.58 on Amazon, £99 at Fossil), Nomad Leather Mag Wallet (£66.42 to £74), Ekster Cardholder for AirTag (£79 to £92.18) and the Bellroy Note Sleeve (£85).
Prices were checked on 22 October 2026 and change often, especially around Black Friday. If the Ridge Wallet is on their list, it's £79 on Amazon (sold by Ridge) and Ridge sells its own tracker card to go with it.
Pre-loved: Secrid and Bellroy wallets are built to last and often turn up second-hand, which can suit a budget or a 'no new stuff' household. Try eBay for used Secrid Miniwallets or used Bellroy Note Sleeves, check the photos and returns policy, and pay through eBay's checkout so you're covered by its Money Back Guarantee.

FAQs
Does RFID blocking actually matter?
It does no harm, but the risk it guards against is small. UK Finance's Annual Fraud Report 2026 put contactless fraud at £46.8 million in 2025, against £109.8 million for lost and stolen cards, and its half-year report put the contactless fraud rate at 1.2p per £100 spent. UK Finance says most in-person card fraud uses low-tech methods such as stealing the card itself. So a wallet you can track, or keep in a front pocket, may protect you more than RFID blocking. Banks also refund unauthorised contactless payments in most cases; check your bank's terms.
Do AirTag wallets come with an AirTag?
Usually not. Ekster and VULKIT both say the AirTag isn't included, and an Apple AirTag (2nd generation) was £29 on Amazon when I checked. The Nomad Leather Mag Wallet is different: Find My is built in, so no AirTag is needed. If you're giving an AirTag wallet, buying the AirTag too makes it ready to use on Christmas Day.
Will an AirTag wallet work with an Android phone?
No. AirTags and Find My-only wallets like the Nomad need an iPhone or iPad. For an Android user, choose a tracker card that works with Google Find Hub, such as the UGREEN FineTrack Slim2 or Ekster's Tracker Card, and put it in any wallet.
Can a MagSafe wallet damage bank cards?
Nomad says its Leather Mag Wallet's magnets won't demagnetise or affect your cards. Most UK bank cards now rely on the chip and contactless rather than the magnetic stripe, but if they carry a card that still uses a magnetic stripe (some hotel and access cards do), keep it away from strong magnets.
Is it bad luck to give an empty wallet?
There's an old tradition that you shouldn't give an empty wallet or purse, so many people tuck a coin or a note inside for luck. It's a nice touch, especially for a grandparent.
Do you get commission?
Yes. If you buy through Amazon links on this page I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, links to other shops may earn a commission via Skimlinks, and eBay links are eBay Partner Network affiliate links. It doesn't affect which wallets are included. See the affiliate disclosure.
